So I don’t know about you, but I have a few favorite go to pieces that I use when I want a specific southwestern look! When I think of southwestern style I think of turquoise, vintage finds, and Aztec patterns. These are a few items that I have been lucky to get my hands on and I feel like they tell a story for me. I’m all about meaning and purpose.
So without further ado, these are a few of my favorite things… southwestern style related!
The name of this hat is actually The Gypsy! When I bought it, knowing the name, I knew we were meant to be together. It has been thrown around, mistreated, and probably needs a good cleaning. I like it like that though. I feel like it adds character!
HOWLING COYOTE PIN
My wonderful friend Alyson, @thepalominoblonde, got for me from The Dirty Gringa! It was so thoughtful for her to get it for me especially considering the hard time I was going through. It symbolizes so much and really is such a reminder of keeping good friends close!
This came from my Aunt Suzan. I think it’s so fitting considering we both loved to “run the roads” together. We had so many adventures and good times that contained such rich and real moments/conversations.
TURQUOISE CLUSTER RING
I bought this ring in Ruidoso, NM and I really cannot remember what the name of the store is. I know that I probably spent way too much on it, but you live, you learn. I had been wanting one for a long, long time and finally spoiled myself to one.
THIS BEADED NECKLACE
I purchased this necklace from Buck Ferguson Originals back in 2015. I just had to have it and for good reason! It’s really timeless and can add a pop of character to a simple outfit.
Do you have some favorite go to pieces? How do take your outfit from blah to yasss? What do you think of when you think of southwestern style? I wanna know!
