Comfy & Casual: A Pregnant Woman’s Legging Needs

Comfy & Casual… that is really what my style has begun to look like these days! #mamalife

Don’t get me wrong, I love to dress up this little bump! Unfortunately, clothes are just becoming uncomfortable these days. I know that I have been lucky to still fit into my size 25 jeans until this week, week 26, but I have now hit the point where the rubber band trick doesn’t even work!

(If you don’t know what the rubber band trick is, I got you covered at the end of this post!)

Along with clothing feeling uncomfortable and like nothing fits (probably because it doesn’t and I’ve refused to by maternity clothing), the good ole’ energy I’ve been having this second trimester is coming to a halt. I find myself yawning at 10:30 am and I haven’t even done ishh!! So comfy and casual it is!

I recently got these leggings online from Aerie at American Eagle (through their major sale). They are the Aerie Play HighWaisted Pocket Legging in the color Harvest. I originally only bought one pair because I was skeptical, but they turned out to be the best damn thing in my closet thus far! So yeah, I ended up buying them in every color 🤷🏻‍♀️ I mean you can’t beat $13 and some change for the best dang leggings ever. They even have pockets for your phone and all!

I did size up to a medium because I was scared that they would be tight around the belly like all the other size small leggings I have bought prior to pregnancy. Keep in mind these are not maternity (like I said I refuse to buy maternity). However, the size up allows for comfortable room on my belly and they fit my legs perfect. They’re is actually a little stretch to them too, so if I grow a little more I think they’ll still be comfy! My second order I bought all size medium (long length) except for one pair. I decided to try a small (long length) since I felt like the mediums have a good stretch! I’ll be sure to let you know if they work out or end up being to big!

The inside is a fuzzy cozy fabric but not too warm. They’re going to be perfect for the cooler months and winter months post-partum (I’m due in mid November). Here are the colors I purchased!

Lastly, my tee is from Brynlee’s Boutique on Etsy and is the softest dang tee ever! I absolutely love it!

And… as promised, the rubber band trick!
